A Moment … Slipped Out of My Hand

December 4th, 2005, a day which I had been waiting for months. But to no vail, as I was unable to register my presence at my home bcoz of 1st semester (MBA) exams. It was the day of great significance to me, it was the day of my sweet loving sister’s marriage, which I was not destined to attend. Next day of marriage I had to take OOPS test, which was getting very tough for me to prepare myself with each passing second that night. Around 10:00 pm , my mom called me, she was on the JAIMAAL stage. She handed over mobile to my sister, the only word which she could utter was “hello”, and then she burst into tears. I dont know how I managed to hold my self, I exchanged some emotional words with her and then cut-down the call. Only I know how I was able to concentrate on next day’s paper before that call, but after wards, it became entirely impossible to get my buns rivetted to the chair. I took my shawl and came out of my room. I started walking hither n thither in the shivering cold night of GWALIOR, on the foot hills of Gwalior Fort. By the time I recollected myself, my watch ticked 12:15 am. Now I thought I should have to get into bed if I really had to take the test. When I was about to sleep at around 2:00 am, my best friend, Apoorv, send a message on my mobile from Lucknow that he had sent the marriage pics of my sister on my email id. Now afterwards it had become almost impossible for me to pass the entire night because I was desperate to see the pics. Any how I manged to sleep and wake up at around 7:30 am. After taking bath and having breakfast, I left for Net-Lab. It was around 8:30 in my watch. I opened my rediff account and saw the pics. I was flabbergasted, I did not know how to react, p’haps I was so happy. I called upon my entire class to show the pics. All of them were equally happy in my happiness. They took promise of a grand party of my sister’s marrige from me. And did not hesitate to get convinced. It was a great gift from my soulmate APOORV. Now I had to leave for test room as test was to begin at 10:00 am and I had 5 minutes to reach the next block. Somehow I took the exam and appeared well on the basis of prior knowledge. I was happy with the exam but still there was somthing going on in my mind. I dont know what was this. But still, it was an unoblivion moment of my life and I cannot forget it ever.

It is really an emotional moment for a girl who is getting married where she needs her near n dear ones to be with her.But I do understand that brothers have a very special kind of relation with there sisters .As they r togther since childhood ,played together got scolding for each others behaviour, loved ,cared ,had secrets ,shared things and spent many happy and sad moments together and after marriage their sister would lead a different life a life of respect and responsibility where she have to take her own decisions and lead her life which is truly different and new.Yes it is really very sad that you couldnt attend ur sisters marraige a precious moment of her life but here after do not leave any moment to slip away from u since these r the only moments for which we actually live and r waiting for….
